There have been more Monarch 1110 labels used around the world in the past 40 years than another other type of pricing gun stickers.  The gun itself was designed in 1972.  Because of the age of the design, it's extremely important that quality Monarch 1110 labels are used.  The 1110 has an intricate way of feeding the labels and backing paper through and if knock off labels are used, we've seen countless examples of problems.  Other companies are selling rolls of labels that have lower quality label paper, adhesive, backing paper material and cheap, plastic inner cores.  Check out the why order from us page to see a backing paper example.  Adhesive can be gooey or non tacky with third party supplies and should that occur, runny glue can gum up the tool.  Gun jamming is an extremely frustrating thing to have happen an often times users will purchase a brand new gun when the only change necessary was using genuine Monarch 1110 labels.
